The Conejo Fencing Club, supports both recreational and competitive fencers. All levels of skill and all three weapons (foil, èpèe, and sabre) are taught and fenced at the club.

CLASSES

Introduction to Olympic Fencing

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Prerequisites: Age 13 or older

Students learn fundamentals of fencing footwork and are introduced to basic rules, concepts and techniques of fencing including hands-on experience with the 3 weapons of fencing: foil, epee and saber. No previous experience required. All equipment is provided by Conejo Fencing Club.

Beginning/Intermediate Fencing

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Prerequisites: Age 13 or older. Completion of "Introduction to Olympic Fencing" class or previous fencing experience and head coaches’ permission.

Students choose a weapon to focus on (foil, epee or saber), and are given beginning and intermediate level instruction in fencing with their weapon of choice. Students are also given time to fence with each other to practice the skill they are learning. All equipment is provided by Conejo Fencing Club.

Fencing Club

1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Prerequisites: Age 13 or older. Completion of "Beginning/Intermediate Fencing" classes in at least one weapon or previous experience fencing and head coaches’ permission. Members must provide their own fencing equipment.

Fencing club members fence with each other in any weapon they are skilled with. Members may also arrange to take advanced level lessons with club coaches in foil, epee or saber. Club members are required to provide their own equipment. Conejo Fencing Club provides electronic scoring equipment.
